“Mum mum”

Tuesday, 17 September 2013: One Hundred and Sixty Nine Days Old.

Ayla’s been practicing her sounds for a while now, but today she actually saying “mum mum”!

I’m convinced its no coincidence…

Ayla only ever calls out “mum mum” when I’m not with her, and she’s never said it when she’s in my arm or by my side..

Can it be?!
Is my baby girl starting to talk? Surely babies walk before they talk!?

But maybe “mum mum” and “dad dad” come long before the other words in a babies vocabulary.

After all Hubby and I provide everything Ayla needs, so it makes sense that we’d be the only words she says for a while yet.

So I wonder… what will Ayla’s first word be?

I’m putting my money on “cat cat”, and Hubby’s tipping “fish”. What do you think? What was your babies first word?

Whatever it is, it’ll still be a while before Ayla’s telling people she wants to be an “archaeological palaeontologist” when she grows up (I didn’t say it ’til I was nearly 3 ;-))
