Open doors

Friday, 14 March 2014: Three Hundred and Forty Seven Days Old.

Ayla has developed a love for doors… Opening them, shutting them and banging on them.

She’ll sit for ages pushing and pulling at a door, usually the one to our bedroom or the bathroom, and judging by the look on her face Ayla thinks she’s pretty clever!

So I guess it’s not surprising that 90% of the time Ayla’s spent playing with the little fort I bought her a few days ago has been dedicated to opening and shutting the front door!

Ayla also loves sitting in open doorways, as if she can’t decide between two worlds so settles for the best of both.

I love seeing Ayla sitting at the front door singing out to the birds, or playing at the back door smiling as the wind tickles her hair.

Ayla love of open doors means that our house is swarming with flies, the dog keeps sneaking inside and the air con has been working double-time, but I wouldn’t trade any of it for anything.

PS – if you think Ayla’s adorable please vote for her in the Bonds Babies Search, Australia’s biggest baby photo comp!

C’mon, who wouldn’t wanna see that face on a billboard! Click here to vote
