Saturday, 10 August 2013: One Hundred and Thirty One Days Old.
Ayla had her first proper game of peekaboo today and it had her in stitches!
Ayla laughs like a little old man. Her face nearly splits in two with a massive smile and she makes a hearty “hah – hah” noise that has her shoulders shrugging up and down with each “hah”.
So today, when Hubby started playing peekaboo with a towel all three of us ended up laughing; Ayla at the game, and Hubby and I at her laugh.
I just wanted to eat her!
It amazes me every day how the simplest of activities are so incredible to Ayla and peekaboo was no exception.
Thursday, 8 August 2013: One Hundred and Twenty Nine Days Old.
Being with Ayla gives me the chance to unleash my inner dork, and it’s great!
Like today, I was loading my car at the shopping centre and a supped up gangster car drove past with its windows down and rapper beats cranked up.
Normally I would have suppressed the urge to bounce up and down and make fake guns with my index finger and thumb but this time was different.
This time, I had Ayla.
So off I went, unleashing my inner dork, and busted out the sickest homegirl moves I could muster.
If anyone had seen me they’d probably think I was crazy but, who cares!
Ayla loved it and chuckled away in her pram for ages. And when I say ages I mean yes, I was gangster dancing for a loooong time… But Ayla giggles are addictive.
Saturday, 6 July; Ninety-Six Days Old.
Ayla giggled for the first time today!
A proper, hearty chuckle, different to any of the other noises she’s made before.
I had been tickling her face with a tissue and she was grinning from ear to ear, then she let out the most gorgeous laugh that completely melted my heart!
She did it a couple of times too, before she got the hiccups, but I really don’t think it was an accident.
It was such a shame no one else was around when she giggled; I can’t wait to share it with someone special! 😉
