Sunday, 30 November 2013: Two Hundred and Forty Three Days Old.
I am so amazed at how much Ayla knows!
We were outside with Houdi (aka The Dog) and Darla (Cat Cat) and I started asking Ayla where they were.
If I said “where’s Houdi” Ayla stared straight at him, and if I asked her where “Cat Cat” was Ayla looked around until she found her!
This went on for a dozen times or so until I was satisfied she wasn’t fluking it, but I still can’t really believe it.
Then later in the car I thought I’d test out the giddyup trick Ayla learned a few nights before on her rocking horse.
I asked “How do you make a horsey giddyup Ayla?” and she immediately made a clicking noise with her tongue.
I think Ayla was almost as happy with herself as I was!
Is that even possible, for a baby to know the difference between a dog and a cat, or for her to understand “giddyup”?!
Whether its possible or not, flukes or truths, I’m still so proud of my baby girl!
